This week we’re sailing our Seawind 1600 catamaran from Matinicus Island south to The Basin in Casco Bay, Maine. A magical salt water lake nestled in a nature preserve that’s part of the Maine Island Trail. A 375-mile water trail connecting over 240 wild islands and mainland sites in Maine.

This week we’re sailing our Seawind 1600 catamaran from Mt. Desert Island to Matinicus, Maine's most remote island. 22 miles from Rockland, in the outer reaches of Penobscot Bay. A remote place steeped in tradition with many of the same families living there for generations.
